September 1, 2020, Baltimore, MD – Early Charm Ventures, a venture studio that converts science to business, today announced the launch of a partnership with Washington, DC-based B&N Enterprises to collaborate in the marketing and delivery of commercialization services for professional athletes interested in commercializing their own technology and innovation-based ideas.
Under the partnership, B&N Enterprises and Early Charm will market commercialization and related entrepreneurial support services to professional athletes – covering all sectors of the professional sports industry – who have ideas for technology-based innovations with commercialization potential.
The partnership aims to leverage Early Charm’s team expertise and skill – across a range of industry sectors – in commercializing technology and innovation, such as with manufacturing, financing, IP management, marketing and sales. B&N Enterprises will bring its business, marketing and networking skills to work in finding professional athletes who are interested in commercializing their business ideas and launching entrepreneurial growth companies.
“Any time we get the opportunity to partner with creative, passionate and motivated people, we jump at it,” said Ken Malone, Managing Director with Early Charm Ventures. “So, it was obvious to me right away that we needed to partner with the B&N team.”
“More professional athletes than ever are willing to become entrepreneurs, putting their ideas and personal brands into play,” said Robert G.L. Newkirk III, founder and Chief Strategist of B&N Enterprises. “Our goal with this partnership is to build a seamless bridge between athletes and academia and foster technology transfer within these two sectors. This partnership will help entrepreneur-minded athletes have a better chance of commercializing their ideas via an expert framework for company formation, launch and operations.”
